I've decided to try and institute a guideline timetable in an attempt to get things done... I'll let you know how things go.
Sunday's creativity was concentrated on cooking... I adapted two French Onion soup recipes to create my own recipe, Sweet Onion Soup - with additions.

Chop 3 large onions, and cook gently for 30-45 mins in a combination of basil-infused olive oil and butter, with some sea salt and a pinch of sugar. In a separate pan, with more basil oil, fry up some diced potatoes, pancetta and diced carrot until cooked through and slightly crispy.

When the onions are lightly golden brown, add the contents of the frying pan and mix together. Now sprinkle in 50g of spelt flour, gradually so that you can mix it into the combined vegetables. When it is thoroughly mixed in, make up 1 litre of hot stock using Marigold Bouillon powder (I use the organic one). Add the stock a little at a time to avoid getting lumps from the flour.
Now simmer gently for another 20-30 minutes, then serve.
Makes a lovely sweet, warming soup - it went down a treat with Dad and Mary, who stopped in to bring my birthday pressies, which included some Derwent Watercolour Pencils and a copy of Shirley Trevena's book Taking Risks with Watercolour which I asked for after borrowing it from the library - very inspiring!
