Last week I made a whole bunch of cat and sheep beads, pictured on my Glassy Blog... not up for sale yet but coming soon.
This week I intended to make bead sets on Wednesday but felt under the weather so I made the grand total of four beads (sigh).
However, I did do another watercolour, this time of toadstools. I'm quite chuffed with it, not least because I had a moment of revelation while painting it, which is that I dont' have to paint something exactly as it appears in front of me. I know, I know: logically, I knew this already, but emotionally(?) I hadn't really got to grips with the concept! So the toadstools have a slightly ethereal, faerie feel about them.
Not bad, I hope, if I say so myself!
Also this week - I have found the world of zentangles. This was entirely thanks to Julie (Lush) on Frit Happens - which is, incidentally, an entirely brilliant and very friendly forum. Take a look if you are even slightly interested in beads, beading or glass.
Anyhoo, here is my first zentangle in my journal... it's 3.5 x 3.5 inches. Great fun, quite a chilling out thing to do. For more info check out Beez in the Belfry blog or zentangle.com
.
Love your toadstools and your zentangle...don't know what zentangle really is...but the pattern is really nice.
ReplyDeletePainting that comes from the heart is true art!
(That's my mantra, anyway)
Thanks for following my new blog...I like your new one, too~
